Suggestions for hours and Resources
Many of you will already have some plans in mind to get your young people up to their allotted hours.
However, CAFOD and Nugent Care have compiled a few ideas that may give fresh inspiration. The Nugent Care resources can be sent via email by request. The CAFOD resources are below.
Similarly, we at Animate will have a think how we might be able to offer some avenues for young people to be involved in work outside their school or parish through the events we run here.

We essentially need the volunteers to socialise and help to meet and greet everyone and offer support and help where needed to the families. If they can be at the cathedral for 2.30 that would be great.
We need specific help with:
-assisting people to their seats, especially families who will need room for wheel chair access or need seating in front of the deaf choir.
-Join in the procession with banners which is led by the deaf group.
-Large print mass booklets need to be handed out.
-The Gospel is the Parable of the Sower and the Seed, and people will need encouragement to wave and carry the crafted birds, rocks, thorns and flowers/wheat in response.
-Help and support is needed after the Gospel reflection by Fr Mark to come forward and plant their own seeds in pots by the altar and to return to their seats.
-Display symbols on the altar.
-Join in the singing with the music group led by Mike Anderson.
-Talk and mix socially with everyone.
-Refreshments are available after mass in the Gibberd room-help with making the tea, coffee etc. would be really helpful.
